Wizkid, is a timeless performer. He has dropped pieces that will live forever; I wouldn’t know which of Davido’s so-called hits would sustain for 2 years before it’s forgotten… I don’t think Wizkid should engage in the fight of ‘hit’ supremacy cos some of his works rank in the global music library… We are not talking of transient gyrations - which at best, most of Davido’s beats occasioned; we are talking of music - which in my candid opinion I have a bragging right to critique having been a collector since the 70s… My young man should calm down. All the Davido’s collectives cannot stand played side-by-side with Wizkid’s “Ojuelegba,” done many years ago - or the absolute rhythm of “Soco!” As I said, Wizkid is the REAL DEAL! Note: this is not minimizing Davido - cos - he’s done some good music in his right and from his perspective - even though they don’t stand a chance in the musical hierarchy of longevity.
